Chromatic Universal High Opacity Undercoat is an alkyd based, general purpose product specially formulated to provide a flexible, non-absorbent base and can be over coated by both oil and water-based topcoats. It is an intermediate coating applied between a primer and top coat because it works up excellent adhesion between primer and top coat especially if changing from a solvent based to water-based paint. It has excellent hiding power and because of this, it provides additional film to facilitate changing from dark to light colours, and will fill minor cracks and other blemishes. It is suitable for interior and exterior use and can be applied on wood, metal, plaster, stone etc.
